Baseball Recap: South Central Find Success

After only two runs in their last contest, South Central made sure to put some runs up on the board against Morgan Township on Monday. The Satellites walked away with a 10-7 win over the Cherokees. This was a revenge game for the Satellites: when they faced off against the Cherokees back in April, they had to take a 17-5 defeat.

South Central let Nolan Eaton and Taye Falls run wild. Eaton went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Falls went 3-for-5 with three doubles and two runs. Falls is becoming a predictor of South Central's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-14 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Carson Rinker, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: South Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

South Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Morgan Township, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-18-1.

South Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morgan Township, they will head out on the road to challenge Highland at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
