Softball Recap: Timpview Thunderbirds vs. Wasatch Wasps

Timpview extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-8. They came up short against the Wasatch Wasps, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wasps this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 back in March.

Timpview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maycie Branin, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

As for Wasatch, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 9-11 record. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Wasatch's side, Khloe Bell made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Bell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton Sunland, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two triples, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton Brown, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
