Jasper and New Albany are an even 2-2-2 against one another since September of 2018, but likely not for long. The Jasper Wildcats will head out to take on the New Albany Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jasper is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Things were looking good for Jasper after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 3-1 to Evansville Harrison.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Albany). Their defense stepped up to hand Corydon Central a 9-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-goal performance the match before.
Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for New Albany, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.
Everything went Jasper's way against New Albany in their previous meeting back in August of 2023 as Jasper made off with a 6-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jasper since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
