Football Recap: Riverside Falls to Oakleaf in First Game of Season

Riverside unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 23-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakleaf Knights on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Cornell Moses, Jr., who rushed for 124 yards on only 15 carries. Those 124 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Coming up, Riverside will venture away from home to take on Fleming Island at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oakleaf, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Orange Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
