Baseball Recap: Orangefield Takes Down Diboll in a Playoff Battle

Orangefield had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Diboll Lumberjacks get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Carson Gonzales's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Orangefield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan Agerton, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Layne Reynolds was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles.
