Basketball Recap: Houlka Comes Up Short

Houlka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Pine Grove Panthers 54-14. The Wildcats were probably out for revenge after losing 51-28 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Houlka's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Pine Grove, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Houlka Wildcats duke it out with the West Lowndes Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Grove, they and West Union will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
