Basketball Recap: Las Vegas' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Las Vegas had lost 23 straight headed into Friday's matchup, but Sariyah Johnson didn't let it get to 24. The Las Vegas Wildcats put the hurt on the Clark Chargers with a sharp 37-17 victory on Friday thanks in part to Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Las Vegas' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Clark, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Las Vegas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-9 defeat against Centennial on the 11th. As for Clark, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-18 loss against Spring Valley on the 11th.
