Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Swett

After losing to Middletown the last time they met, Swett decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Swett Warriors walked away with a 67-56 win over the Middletown Mustangs on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Mustangs are ranked 184th).

The win made it two in a row for Swett and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Middletown, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Swett will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Elite at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Middletown, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sonoma Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
