West Rowan posted their closest win since October 24, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Davie County War Eagles 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the War Eagles back in August, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day West Rowan got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 25-21, 16-25, 15-13.

Reese Poole was the offensive standout of the match as she had 18 digs and one assist.

West Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Davie County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

West Rowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Concord on the 18th. As for Davie County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Mooresville on the 18th.
