Hasbrouck Heights had won three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they bumped their record up to 20-5 to make it four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wood-Ridge Blue Devils, sneaking past 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Aviators: when they faced off against the Blue Devils back in April, they had to take a 4-2 defeat.

Maddy Connelly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Giuliana Terranova, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Mackenzie Riordan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

As for Wood-Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 25th.

On Wood-Ridge's side, Brooke Stellato made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brielle Rivera, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Hasbrouck Heights nor Wood-Ridge have any future games scheduled.
