Volleyball Recap: Lemont Comes Up Short

Lemont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shepard Astros. The Lemont HS were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Astros apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

While Lemont was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23.

Lemont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Shepard, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lemont is set to take on their familiar foe Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Shepard will face off against rival Richards at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
