Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Baker Mountaineers vs. Lynden Christian Lyncs

Mt. Baker is 1-9 against Lynden Christian since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mt. Baker Mountaineers will head out to square off against the Lynden Christian Lyncs at 7:15 p.m.

On Saturday, Mt. Baker came up short against Squalicum and fell 50-38.

Meanwhile, Lynden Christian entered their tilt with Bainbridge on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Spartans, posting a 67-35 win. The Lyncs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 23 points or more this season.

Lynden Christian's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.9 points. As for Mt. Baker, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Mt. Baker was dealt a bruising 74-36 loss at the hands of Lynden Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Mt. Baker avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
