            For the second straight game, Berthoud will face off against Northridge. The Spartans will square off against the Grizzlies at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
While Berthoud's  win against Northridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Grizzlies  4-2. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Spartans.

 Wyatt Barmes was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out 11 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits. He is becoming a predictor of Berthoud's success: when he posts  at  least eight  strikeouts the team is 2-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). Barmes was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a  double, which was his first of the season.
 Barmes wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Elisha Mosher, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Northridge's loss was  their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Berthoud, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
