Basketball Game Preview: Eldorado Golden Eagles vs. Capital Jaguars

The Eldorado Golden Eagles will head out to face off against the Capital Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Eldorado is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were outmatched by Sandia and fell 94-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (63), the Golden Eagles still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Capital can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Manzano by a score of 60-50.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Capital, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-12.

Eldorado couldn't quite finish off Capital in their previous matchup back in March of 2020 and fell 58-55. Can Eldorado avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
