Soccer Game Preview: Stevenson vs. Rancho San Juan

The Stevenson Pirates will head out to take on the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Stevenson will be strutting in after a victory while Rancho San Juan will be coming in after a loss.

Stevenson took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Watsonville.

Meanwhile, Rancho San Juan fell victim to Pajaro Valley and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 6-0.

Rancho San Juan's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Stevenson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7-3.

Stevenson beat Rancho San Juan by a goal in their previous matchup on January 9th, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stevenson since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
