Volleyball Game Preview: Sterling City Eagles vs. Miles Bulldogs

Sterling City hasn't had much luck against Miles recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Eagles will square off against the Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. Sterling City is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, Sterling City made easy work of Christoval and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Sterling City walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-18.

Sterling City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dori Gaston, who had 17 digs. Another player making a difference was Sophia Caldwell, who had ten assists.

Meanwhile, Miles got the win against Reagan County on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Owls: they've now won four in a row.

Miles was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 25-20.

Miles now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Sterling City, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
