Volleyball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Berwick

Berwick came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past MMI Preparatory School 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Berwick took every set by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-1, 25-8.

Leading Berwick to victory were Julia Rauch and Angie Colone. Rauch had five digs and two aces, while Colone had 17 kills, five digs, and one block. Colone has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 26 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Brown, who had seven digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Berwick was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Berwick's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for MMI Preparatory School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Berwick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Holy Redeemer on the 25th. As for MMI Preparatory School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Hanover Area on the 25th.
