Basketball Recap: Heartland Christian Takes a Loss

Heartland Christian lost against Omaha Christian Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Heartland Christian fell 62-52 to the Omaha Christian Academy Eagles. Heartland Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Omaha Christian Academy to victory were Jeevan James and Nathan Friesen. James went 7 for 13 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds, while Friesen posted 13 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave James a new career-high in points. Avery Poteat was another key player, putting up four points.

Heartland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Omaha Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Heartland Christian will host Cornerstone Christian School on Tuesday. As for Omaha Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 61-52 defeat against Parkview Christian on the 10th.
