Soccer Recap: Marquette Comes Up Short

Marquette fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Kirkwood on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 2-1. Marquette were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Kirkwood earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Marquette and nudges their season record down to 10-11. As for Kirkwood, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 10-6 record.

As of now, neither Marquette nor the Pioneers have any future games scheduled.
