Softball Recap: Olean Comes Up Short

Olean fell victim to Depew and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly three runs.

Emma Edwards spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on 12 hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Olean saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Finch1, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Olean's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Olean will be playing at home against East Aurora at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Depew, they will head out on the road to face off against Griffith Institute at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
