Curwensville was the 9-2 winner over Moshannon Valley when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Curwensville fell just short of Moshannon Valley by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday. Even though they lost, the Golden Tide's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.5 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Andrew Pentz put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. Pentz was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Cael Butler was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Lincoln Hoyt also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Bellwood-Antis has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something Moshannon Valley will no doubt try to take advantage of.
