Baseball Recap: Collingswood Extends Winning Streak to Three

Collingswood waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Haddon Heights Garnets. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 4-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Collingswood's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Chase Ladik, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Ben Auerbach also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Collingswood's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Haddon Heights, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-2.

Collingswood will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Garnets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
