Baseball Recap: Two Rivers Takes a Loss

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Two Rivers nor Kiel made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Purple Raiders fell 4-0 to the Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on Thursday.

Two Rivers saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Klinkner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Two Rivers and nudges their season record down to 4-13. As for Kiel, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Looking ahead, Two Rivers will head out to challenge Xavier at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kiel, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Kewaskum on the 23rd.
