Meanwhile, Medgar Evers College Prep didn't have too much trouble with Tilden on the road on Thursday as they won 62-46.
Medgar Evers College Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joshua Edwards led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edwards has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dejon Williams, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Goldstein's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Medgar Evers College Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.
Goldstein barely slipped by Medgar Evers College Prep in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, winning 52-51. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Williams, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Goldstein still be able to contain him? There's only one way to find out.
