Soccer Game Preview: Carson vs. Narbonne

The Carson Colts will venture away from home to square off against the Narbonne Gauchos at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Carson's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on San Pedro with a sharp 4-0 victory. Given the Colts' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Pirates are ranked 714th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carson hit San Pedro with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Diego Mendez (2), Nathan Garcia, and Aurelio Mu?oz.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Narbonne made sure to put some goals up on the board against Rancho Dominguez on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Lobos as they made off with a 13-0 win. That 13 goal margin sets a new team best for the Gauchos this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Carson and bumps their season record up to 9-3-1. As for Narbonne, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 8-4-3.
