Softball Preview: Hackensack Comets vs. Clifton Mustangs        
        
		
            
 The Hackensack Comets will be playing at home against the Clifton Mustangs at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. The pair are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
 Hackensack will roll into the  matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two  runs  on Wednesday, then bounced right back against North Bergen  on Thursday. Hackensack blew past North Bergen 11-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Hackensack.
  Rihanna Hernandez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits over five innings pitched. Hernandez has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Hernandez was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Grace Abraham was a standout: she scored two  runs while going 3-for-3.  Ava DeBaar was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Clifton can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent  game  on Wednesday. They never let Passaic onto the board and left with  a   15-0  win.
 Hackensack's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-10. As for Clifton, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
