Volleyball Recap: Winter Haven Takes a Loss

Winter Haven lost against Ridge Community back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Blue Devils fell 3-1 to the Bolts. While the Blue Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bolts 25-21 in the first set.

Winter Haven started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.

Winter Haven's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Ridge Community, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8.

Coincidentally, Winter Haven and Ridge Community will both be playing Haines City the next time they take the court. The Bolts will host the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Blue Devils will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
