Jordan Marshall named 2023 MaxPreps Ohio High School Football Player of the Year

Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school football. America's source for high school sports continues the tradition to close out the 2023 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

Jordan Marshall of Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati) is the 2023 MaxPreps Ohio High School Football Player of the Year. The 6-foot, 195-pound senior running back led the Fighting Crusaders to a 10-5 record and to the Division I state semifinals.

For the season, Marshall rushed for 1,550 yards and 17 touchdowns to go with 30 receptions for 394 yards and four more scores. He helped Archbishop Moeller reach the semifinals for the third straight season.

Marshall was named Ohio Mr. Football in November and finished his career as the school's all-time leading rusher with 4,787 yards. He was a 2022 MaxPreps Junior All-American after rushing for 1,951 yards and 34 touchdowns.

Regarded as a top 150 prospect in the Class of 2024 by 247Sports, Marshall committed to Michigan in March over 25 other FBS offers.

Each state's MaxPreps Player of the Year will be considered for inclusion in the MaxPreps All-America Team.
