Basketball Recap: Johnson Takes a Loss

Johnson lost against Dawson County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Johnson Knights took a blow against the Dawson County Tigers, falling 85-48. The Knights' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Dawson County, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.

Johnson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Flowery Branch at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Johnson is facing Flowery Branch at the right time seeing as Flowery Branch is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Dawson County, they will challenge Greater Atlanta Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greater Atlanta Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 contests -- so hopefully Dawson County likes a good challenge.
