Volleyball Recap: Taylee Kyhl Key Part of Team Effort in Wildcats Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Sanpete, Richfield was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Providence Hall Patriots.

Richfield was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 25-17.

Richfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylee Kyhl led the charge by getting six aces. Those six aces gave Kyhl a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kendi Rollins, who had 11 digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good server: Richfield was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They are 4-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Richfield picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-11. As for Providence Hall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Richfield and Providence Hall will both be playing Juab the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Wasps at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
