Basketball Recap: East Central Takes a Loss

If East Central was riding high fresh off their 79-35 takedown of St. John's Prep last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The East Central Eagles lost to the Floodwood Polar Bears on the road by a 67-49 margin on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Polar Bears from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

East Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Floodwood, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

East Central will host Aitkin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Floodwood, they will challenge Cook County at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Cook County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
