Softball Preview: Lennard Longhorns vs. Brandon Eagles
Lennard is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Brandon a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Lennard Longhorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the Brandon Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Brandon took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Lennard, who comes in off a win.
Lennard gave up the first runs last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Tampa Bay Tech 25-6.

Madyson Pucillo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.
In other batting news, Hannah Rooks and Kennedy McClain did most of the damage at the plate: Rooks scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while McClain scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Lennard always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .780. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tampa Bay Tech only posted an OBP of .370.
Meanwhile, Brandon came up short against Blake on Thursday, falling 16-1.
The win got Lennard back to even at 1-1. As for Brandon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
