Baseball Game Preview: North Shore Mustangs vs. Summer Creek Bulldogs

The North Shore Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Summer Creek Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Thursday just wasn't the day for North Shore's offense. They fell just short of King by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Summer Creek has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.42 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to Kingwood. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Summer Creek's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-8-1. As for North Shore, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-18.

North Shore couldn't quite finish off Summer Creek when the teams last played back in March of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
