Basketball Recap: Horseshoe Bend Takes a Loss

Horseshoe Bend was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost to the Central of Coosa County Cougars on the road by a 71-54 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-69 last Monday.

Central of Coosa County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Ballard, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Waylon Allen, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 17 points.

Horseshoe Bend's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Central of Coosa County, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Horseshoe Bend has already played their next matchup (against Vincent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central of Coosa County will head out on the road to challenge Reeltown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
