Preview: Parkersburg vs. Hurricane

Things didn't go so well for Parkersburg last week, and it has a real challenge ahead. It and Hurricane take on one another this Friday at 7:00 PM on Parkersburg's home turf. Hurricane will want to keep Parkersburg's offense in check as it has had no trouble moving up and down the field in its last four games.

Parkersburg was crushed by Cabell Midland 63 - 35 last week. The defeat came about despite the benefit of 146 receivings from junior Brenton Strange. Strange has been a consistent playmaker for Parkersburg as this was the 6th good game in a row from him. Another highlight for the team was the 324 passing yards from senior Kam Mace.

As for Hurricane, it is still above.500 but has been slipping the past two games. It ended its game a good deal behind Huntington last week, falling 34 - 14.

The losses dropped Parkersburg and Hurricane to an identical 4-3. We'll see which team manages to turn its luck around when they battle it out this week.
