Basketball Game Preview: Golden Gate Titans vs. Immokalee Indians

Golden Gate and Immokalee are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Golden Gate Titans will challenge the Immokalee Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Golden Gate is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Palmetto Ridge on Tuesday as Golden Gate made off with a 74-54 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Titans just coasted through the last quarter.

Meanwhile, Immokalee hadn't done well against Naples recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Immokalee came out on top against Naples by a score of 75-67. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Immokalee's win came from a few key players Golden Gate will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jose Marquez, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 19 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Marshon Jackson, who went 5 of 6 en route to 17 points and five assists.

Golden Gate's record is now 7-12. As for Immokalee, their record is now 9-7.

Golden Gate ended up a good deal behind Immokalee in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, losing 62-48. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Immokalee's Timarian Howard, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 boards.
