Recap: Washington Union Panthers vs. West Vikings

The Washington Union Panthers can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against West by a score of 67-55. Washington Union's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why West lost, one person who can't be blamed is Fred Stokes. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Stokes' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaiyon Dixon, who scored 11 points.

Washington Union's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for West, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-9 record last season and are now at 2-7.

Washington Union and Fresno Christian will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fresno Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Washington Union in California (Fresno Christian is ranked 274th, while Washington Union is ranked 1132nd).
