Baseball Recap: Nova Triumphs

Nova is still undefeated this season after their match against Chaminade-Madonna on Wednesday, but Chaminade-Madonna came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Nova Titans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chaminade-Madonna Lions, sneaking past 4-2. While the Titans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Cody Boisvert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nova's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Angelo Rivas, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Nova's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Chaminade-Madonna, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nova will face off against McArthur at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chaminade-Madonna, they will take on Everglades at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Chaminade-Madonna's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Everglades' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
