Basketball Recap: Rattan Rams vs. Wright City Lumberjax

The Rattan Rams came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over Wright City. Given Rattan's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Lumberjax are ranked 90th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Wright City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Conner Green. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Green has scored all season. Joseph Vance was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three blocks.

Rattan pushed their record up to 18-2 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wright City, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rattan will face off against the Rebels at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wright City, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
