Sulphur Bluff is 9-1 against Saltillo since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Sulphur Bluff will look to defend their home field against Saltillo at 6:30 p.m. Sulphur Bluff's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Saltillo's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Sulphur Bluff took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Bland, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Sulphur Bluff sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over Bland on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Jaydon Carrell was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Tyson Collins was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Saltillo lost 10-3 to Campbell on Monday.

Sulphur Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. Saltillo has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Everything went Sulphur Bluff's way against Saltillo in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Sulphur Bluff made off with a 14-0 win. Does Sulphur Bluff have another victory up their sleeve, or will Saltillo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
