Basketball Recap: Twin Valley Wildcats vs. Arlington Memorial Eagles

A well-balanced attack led the Twin Valley Wildcats over the Arlington Memorial Eagles in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Twin Valley blew the Eagles out of the water with a 65-34 final score. That looming 65-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Twin Valley yet this season.

Leading Twin Valley to victory were Noah Dornburgh and Brayden Brown. Dornburgh scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Brown scored 22 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of Twin Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Steven Oyer, who scored four points along with five rebounds and five blocks.

Twin Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Arlington Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Twin Valley will square off against the at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rivendell Academy is on a four-game streak of home wins, the Wildcats a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Arlington Memorial will take on the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
