Morgan extended their postseason success on Tuesday against North Sanpete. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 win over the Hawks. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Kanyon Leonelli, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Lincoln Gilson was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Morgan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.

Morgan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for North Sanpete, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-15.

Looking ahead, Morgan will take on Emery at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. North Sanpete does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
