Volleyball Recap: Corona del Sol Aztecs vs. Perry Pumas
Corona del Sol was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Perry Pumas, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pumas this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat two weeks ago.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-18.
Nicholas Hauer paced Corona del Sol's offense, picking up seven kills. Hauer got some help from Crate Owens and his 11 assists. Finally, Brody Rice kept Corona del Sol's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Ryan Carraro was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had 12 digs and two assists.
Corona del Sol's loss dropped their record down to 9-24. As for Perry, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 37-4.
Corona del Sol does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Perry, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Chandler on the 1st.
