Baseball Recap: Braddock's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Braddock finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They fell 3-0 to the Forreston Cardinals. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Braddock got a good showing from Rances Suarez, who kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Suarez a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Adam Hernandez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Braddock's loss dropped their record down to 14-4-1. As for Forreston, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Braddock will take on Elmore County in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Forreston, they will welcome Genoa-Kingston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Genoa-Kingston has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.2 runs per game on average), something Forreston will no doubt try to take advantage of.
