Volleyball Recap: Linn Takes a Loss

Linn came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Tipton Cardinals. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since October 24, 2024.

While Linn was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 25-15.

Their offense was headlined by Carley Brandt and Ali Russell, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Nicole Grellner and her 15 assists. Riley Kay and Kylie Goans kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Linn's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-2. As for Tipton, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7-2.

Linn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Rolla on the 4th. As for Tipton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against New Bloomfield on the 7th.
