Basketball Game Preview: St. Paul Lutheran Saints vs. Lafayette County Huskers

St. Paul Lutheran hasn't had much luck against Lafayette County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The St. Paul Lutheran Saints are taking a road trip to square off against the Lafayette County Huskers at 7:30 p.m. St. Paul Lutheran will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, St. Paul Lutheran was able to grind out a solid victory over Lone Jack, taking the game 48-35.

Meanwhile, Lafayette County was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Knob Noster 71-42. The Huskers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Lafayette County's record is now 8-2. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

St. Paul Lutheran suffered a grim 62-41 defeat to Lafayette County when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can St. Paul Lutheran avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
