Basketball Recap: Allen Makes It 17 in a Row at Home

Allen extended their home winning streak to 17 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Cherish Woodward. The Allen Mustangs took down the Vanoss Wolves 56-40 on Tuesday thanks in part to Woodward, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Allen is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Vanoss, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

Allen will face off against Wewoka at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Allen is facing Wewoka at the right time seeing as Wewoka is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Vanoss, they and Stratford will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
