Basketball Recap: Pisgah Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Pisgah ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-48 victory over the West Henderson Falcons. The 50-point effort marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Despite the loss, West Henderson still got an impressive performance from Tyler Nash, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. Parker Maltby was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Pisgah moved to 5-8 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak. As for West Henderson, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pisgah will host Tuscola at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pisgah is facing Tuscola at the right time seeing as Tuscola is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for West Henderson, they will square off against A.C. Reynolds at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. A.C. Reynolds knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully West Henderson likes a good challenge.
