Basketball Recap: Broadneck Wins Going Away Against Severn Run

On Wednesday, the Broadneck Bruins strolled past the Severn Run Wolves with points to spare, taking the game 66-52.

Loss or not, Severn Run got some senior leadership from Darrelle Adofo and Jayden Gonzalez. Adofo went 5-for-11 to rack up 12 points and eight assists, while Gonzalez posted nine points and six boards. Those eight assists gave Adofo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Johnson, who scored nine points.

Broadneck's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Severn Run, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Broadneck won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Crofton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Severn Run, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Meade at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Meade's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 20 games.
