Basketball Game Preview: Logansport Berries vs. Hamilton Heights Huskies

Logansport is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will host the Hamilton Heights Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Hamilton Heights took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Logansport, who comes in off a win.

Logansport is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home two weeks ago. They walked away with a 66-53 win over Peru.

Logansport relied on the efforts of Eli Baldwin, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 20 points and seven boards, and Marquon Bell, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Baldwin's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Jackson, who shot 56% from the field en route to 11 points.

Logansport was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peru only racked up eight.

Meanwhile, Hamilton Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 69-42 loss at the hands of Mississinewa.

Logansport was dealt a bruising 88-50 loss at the hands of Hamilton Heights when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Thankfully for the Berries, Gavin Saunders (who went 12-for-20 from beyond the arc on his way to 44 points and six boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
